hrm... since i dont have maya anymore, this journal is kinda pointless.

She's here!!!
Wont be able to have pictures til this weekend since my USB cable is at home. That gives me time to paint her face. I'm so thrilled! She's far more gorgeous than I thougth she would be. I cant describe!

I couldnt sleep last night cos I knew she was coming. I layed there trying my hardest to sleep. I woke up at 2, 3:45, 4:15, 8:08, 8:15, and then finally got up at 8:32. She arrived at 9:46!!!

Nome has been in the US since 8:25 this morning! She's at Kennedy AMC whatever that is. Gotta check that out. I wonder how long from here on out. I really hope she makes it by Thursday, but definitely by Friday or I wont get her til Monday since the post office on campus sucks.
edit: apparently Kennedy AMC is a cargo building at the airport in Jamaica, NY.

Attn: Those who have ordered from Luts. Will it say "Shipped" instead of "Payment Received" when my item(s) have been shipped? I understand that Doogi will contact me with tracking numbers and such.
I'm worried because I was reading some posts on the Q&A board there and this chick ordered a doll as far back as February, with makeup, and still has not received the doll. Doogi told her 3~4 days just like he told me. Gosh I hope hers was a fluke!!
I'm really bummed cos I checked one of my grades and it's a 31 for Exam 2 in Mythology. There's NO POSSIBLE way because 75% of it is quizzes we've already taken and I drilled those questions and answers into my head. There's just NO WAY I could've made less than a C. I'm hoping that it just got graded with the wrong batch of answers or that I was a dumbass and marked the wrong exam version on my answer sheet. I cannot have received a 31.
This makes me really worried about finding out my quiz grade in Judaism and my exam 3 grade in German. :/ I thought I did really well on all three of these test/quizzes and then I find out that I failed the first miserably? There's just no way. I hope this isnt denial.

Ack! Pullips are sooo cute! I wish they weren't only 10" high. I think Assa is the best. She'd be the one I would get if I decided to get one. She's on Pre-order for $69.99 + $12 s&h. That's $82 for something that stands 10 inches tall. I guess that's a LOT cheaper than a Yuutenshi.

My DD plans got cancelled but my friend Ashley (simplicityofpink on DoA) is gonna go in on a DES with me and trade me her DD body (brand new, restrung, and modded to stand properly) plus $150 for the Lishe body. :3 $320 for a DES is about $50 more than if I had gotten it on sale, but the shopping service girl went three places, none of which had the DD on sale anymore.

I listed her tonight before I went to see "Sin City". I get in from "Sin City" and someone used her BIN for $325. That means I ship her out Monday. Maya. I better change my icon. Whatever- I didnt bond with her then, why would I now?
Haha- whatever. I'm satisfied with pictures of her and I took enough. Plus, it's not like she's rare. I hope this person enjoys her. :3

eBay sucks at life. I listed Maya for starting bid: $.99, reserve price at $300, and BIN at $325. To do all of this, it cost me $7.60, plus a certain percentage of whatever the ending bid is. Well, at least I'll get SOME of the money.
paypal sucks at life. I had to upload to Premiere account to accept a $60 commission payment. I just realized we're charged fees for Premiere accounts. Why? Because Paypal is eBay. And eBay sucks at life. That means double-whammy. If Maya sells on eBay (gosh I hope she does after all that wasted) I'll pay eBay fees AND paypal fees. T.T

I may decide without the help I ask for here, if it takes too long, cos I'm getting anxious about selling Maya. I've sold $104 + shipping on her stuff so far. Her clothing and wig box has started to dwindle.
I took some photos of her infront of a white poster and on a white sheet in her defaults and the outfit I'll be selling her with. I'm going to start her at $.99 to avoid another eBay fee since they'll gouge my eyes out with what she actually sells for. I'll set my reserve at $300 and hope to GOODNESS someone will pay that. I'd LOVE for someone to pay $325 since the outfit is included. I paid $309 plus $17 shipping... so if I can at least get $309 I'll be bouncing off the balls. XD
Would you guys help me decide which pictures to include in the eBay auction? And also, which picture to include as the picture people see when they do item searches? (I can crop one.) I'm thinking- good shot of her face, one standing, one sitting, one with hood up, one with hood back, and one without hoodie on. Maybe more. Hrm.
Also- I know eBay wont let you link to websites outside of ebay. Would I get in trouble if I just linked to my one webpage that shows all 12 photos below?
Lastly- is the lighting too poor? I've seen some far worse lit pictures of items that sold. Just let me know what you think. This PC has a terrible graphics card, so I'm sure the lighting is fine up at my computer at school.

Placed my order and sent payment for Hylonome today- Delf Soony.
I'm selling Maya's things on DoA. I posted in the Marketplace last night before going to bed around 1am and already made $42. All of her wigs, except the Angel Fur wig, were snatched up, as well as all of her shoes. I've had two offers, plus Danaka's offer, on the Betsy McCall dress, but everything else is still for sale.
Sent payment Tuesday at 7pm for DD to Taera (girl on DoA offering shopping service in Japan) and heard back from her right then, saying she'd received the payment. She was supposed to go to Volks and pick up the body Wednesday. It's Friday (Friday night there) and I haven't heard from her. Would you be worried?

Soony: Hylonome- "Nome" (no+me)
DES+DD: Mnemosyne- "Syne" (sin+eh) (i figured Nemo would confuse people next to Nome)
Wont be able to order the girls til April 8th, afterall. The wig I want at Luts is finally in stock again, and we all know it will be sold out by the time I place my order. It tempts me to go ahead and order Soony and get the DES head another time. But I cant just have a DD body sitting here without a head. XD I'm going to try to wait.
Actually, I have enough to get SSoony, DES head, and 1 wig. I'll just be broke as shit. O.o Like, nothing in savings until April 8th. I dont think I can personally handle not having a dime to my name. I know something bad would happen because it's my luck- like my car refusing to start, or an unexpected opportunity of a lifetime.
Ok. I've decided on selling MSD Maggie. I was going to wait until my big girls get here, but if I would preferr an MSD to SD-sized, that means I dont like BJDs much at all and dont need to spend my money on them. That's how little I care about MSD Maggie. I think she's cute- I have pictures saved of her on my hard drive. But I think Maya is the placeholder for Nome.
I bought her when I was testing BJD waters, afraid to make the financial commitment of bigger dolls. Now I know I'm serious. Nez- I hope this doesn't break our bond, because I think our friendship is more than Miyuki and Maya looking alike. I spoke with Danaka and she's like "she's YOUR doll!" Plus, you'll have more fun seeing dolls you dont own when we see each other this summer, right? :3
I'm going to list Maya for .99 on eBay and set the reserve at $300 for her with default wig and eyes. If she reaches $325, I'll include an outfit. I just cant really imagine a bidding war for an MSD Maggie. Everyone is in love with Mika these days.

Basically- I have $605 to pay for what I haven't already, the rest of my two girls, Billie's mohair wig, and a skirt I found for $7. My girls wont own very much when they first arrive- it will be at least two weeks before they have shoes, I'm thinking. DES will be wearing the mohair and Soony will be wearing the Luts wig I want. Will place an order to Audreys later. I just dont want to go below $100 in savings.
Anyone know how much shipping of a Luts doll is? How long did it take to arrive to you?

+ Soony: Hylonome- "Nome" (pronounced "no+me", not "gnome") or Artemis
+ DES: Athene or Minerva
Reasoning:
+ Hylonome- most beautiful centaur in Greek history. her lover was a hero to both men and centaurs, especially fighting well during the Battle of the Centaurs (pretty much making them extinct) and was killed in battle by her side. she thrust herself upon the spear that had killed him and died atop her lover.
+ Artemis- unattainable virgin goddess. known for her beauty and innocence. also a bit of a tomboy.
+ Athene- Goddess of war. Would spell Athena but that looks cheesier imo. XD Athene is probably the greatest goddess in my opinion. incredible. i love her cunning, her intellect, her behavior.
+ Minerva- Roman name for Athena. same lady. would have double meaning as a Harry Potter reference.
So yeah. Lemme know what you guys think abotu which names to go for! :3

Cari and I were going to go in on Soony Special, but she purchased an original Luts Ari instead and had to scrap these plans. Thought I'd see if anyone is interested in buying Soony's sleeping head and extra hands from me.
I'm trying to get $125, minimum, because if the head were available, it'd be $100, the hands $18, and way more than that in shipping by itself. I'm taking the highest offer, if there more than one person wants to go in on it with me.
You pretty much have until April 8th to decide. If you want to put the head and hands on hold, I'll accept $25 paypal now and it goes on hold, but you'll have to pay for the full $125 when she does arrive in May.

this girl on DoA is offering a shopping service in Japan for $3! O.O the Dollfie Dreams are on sale now for what comes out to be about $125, so i'm definitely jumping on THAT bandwagon. i've never seen them so low!
if they're still $125 instead of their usual $173, i'm going to bump up her $3 to $15, or even $20. i just dont see how she could make a profit from riding the train into town for $2, back out for $2, even though she's running multiple errands at once and the city is fun to explore. depending on how shipping is, i'm leaning more towards $20 or $25. i mean, even that is a profit, and i'd much rather help a girl in need than spend that money on food for myself, when i can get free food at school. (it's just gross. and not technically free- my parents pay a certain amt at the beginning of the school year and i have "unlimited Caf visits".)
so yeah. i'll be getting the DD body + DES head combo after all. has anyone seen a DD body with a four-sisters head? i wonder how that looks/works. link me, if so, please! :3 i dont want an F08 as much anymore. but i definitely want a DES.
i'll also still be able to order Soony in two weeks time- by the first week of April. technically, i can order Soony w/ wig now, but I only have $597 in savings and dont want to dwindle to less. anyways, i'm expecting a decent paycheck from spring break (at least, more than the $177 avg i get from such few hours up here in gboro) so that will cover the DD no problem, and i can stick the rest and bump the soony fund up to AT LEAST $600, if not $625 (if i'm lucky and DD shipping isnt too much.)

*whines* if i got lusis, i'd have to scrap my Soony want until the middle of summer. i love lusis a lot... but i think i like soony better. and i want a 60cm, darnit! XD
my soony urge keeps getting stronger and stronger. i've decided i want both a soony and a DES. i'll get the soony first, even though i've wanted the DES longer, because i just think she's too unique and not quite as popular, so it'd be fun to have my own before they get in high demand. i want to punk mine out. not stupid plaid punk. but like... 80s pop punk. XD or maybe just 80s pop... tutus, spandex, multi-coloured fishnets, big hair, chunky jewelry, off the shoulder tops, oversized sweatshirts, etc.
